Another day, another Pokemon hunt in a dark cave. Dallas wasn’t even sure why he continued to choose these tunnels and caves as his capturing spots for potential new teammates. He could barely see half the time. And with Hoenn becoming less safe by the day, it was a wonder how he hadn’t been jumped by some Rocket grunt.[break][break]

That was the fear that brought him here though. Rocket’s grasp was getting tighter on the region as the League’s strength continued to be challenged. The reluctant promotion he had taken meant he also had to keep up, and that meant stronger Pokemon. Whether that was catching them or training the ones he already had didn’t matter in the end. At least to Dallas, Right now it was just something to keep him busy.[break][break]

It was hard to believe a Hawlucha found this to be the kind of place to call home, yet there it was. Resting on a precarious rock formation that stood tall above Dallas. That was until he managed to accidentally knock a few rocks loose and send the Halwucha and its rocky bed tumbling down.[break][break]

“Oh shit!” Before Dallas could be persecuted for his crimes, he dashed off further into the darkness of the cave. Angry squawks and the cracking of rocks were all he could hear before the luchador like bird gave up its pursuit.[break][break]

“Maybe coming here was a mistake.”

Apparently, a Monferno had decided to join in on the commotion it had heard earlier. From one fighting type to another, the fire monkey launched a Mach Punch into a nearby boulder. Shattering it and facing towards Dallas in a fighting stance.[break][break]

“Yeah, no thanks.” With that, Gengar was released. Clapping its hands forward towards the Monferno, releasing a purple wave of energy that washed over the wild Pokemon. Soon after its eye began to droop shut. The Monferno trying its best to resist the Hypnosis but to no avail. It was only a matter of time before the hypnosis took its hold as the monkey collapsed to the ground.[break][break]
